Garden Week 6

Finally potatoes. So I am really Irish after all. The most exciting part is the pumpkins are growing and actually look healthy.

Garden Week 5

Week 5 with our garden and everything is growing, well except no potatoes. So we have this huge dirt spot that has to be weeded. Being Irish I should be able to grow stinking potatoes!

Celebrate Summer

I had the chance to visit a great car show at the park in Manti and a friend of mine on the Sheriffs Dept had his new car entered. Sweet eh?

Garden Week 4

After freezing night time temperatures last week I wasn't sure what survived but things actually look good. Since Marines are half-crazy I decided it was time to remove the water walls and let the plants enjoy the sun. Hopefully that won't prove to be a mistake.

Our Garden Is Planted Finally!

Since my life is fairly exciting I thought it would be interesting to track the garden in Manti during the 2008 growing season. This is week one so it is beautiful clean dirt. Anyway here we go.

Up and running

May 22, 2008 and this is up and running. It's time the Smiths hit the internet with a blog.

We arrived at our cabin on May 6 to enjoy the 3' of beautiful snow.
