These photo's have nothing to do with anything except I had an hour of free time on a quiet Sunday night.Kylie brought Stacie and Calli to Manti and Michael brought Morgan. Snow, General Conference and New Tractor

It would be very unusual if it didn't rain during General Conference, but snow? This has limited the amount of time we will spend on the new tractor this weekend but Spring is coming. I think :)

Bret hits his year mark April 2nd so we are all feeling a little like celebrating. These pictures range from before Christmas, to his birthday Feb 20th and finally end at a Taiwan style Disneyland on March 18th.

May 1st can't get here soon enough and this post will give everyone a clue as to what my after tax season surprise to myself is going to be. Just wait for my garden in the next couple of years!

Park City, UT

We grabbed a quick trip to Park City this weekend thanks to Shaws, and it was a much needed rest from the never ending stream of tax returns I swim through this time of year. Just in case you think I was loafing, I spent all day Saturday doing returns while everyone went skiing. Marsha was nice enough to stay at the condo with me so I wouldn't get lonesome. But Friday night and Saturday night I made up for the highly responsible work schedule that I maintained!

Kylie Had a Date

To bring this date to fruition wasn't easy since Courtney lives in Manti and we didn't want him to drive home after the Sweethearts dance. Conveniently, Bret's bed has been vacant for almost a year and Michael needed a roommate for a night. The rest is history. Kylie owes me big.

February 19th and 20th were Michael and Bret's birthday's and in recognition of their long and productive lives I thought this picture appropriate. They are such good boys :)

Valentines Day Special Event

We wanted to celebrate Valentines Day in the traditional way and not so traditional. So Like a good boy I got roses for my babes and thenWyatt and Andrea, Olivia and Calvin Richard came to Manti along with Carrie Andrea's sister and her friend Candace Jones. Other than Andrea and her "morning sickness" and Wyatt and his very own "morning sickness" we had a great time. Wyatt and Andrea didn't stay overnight but Carrie and Candace did and we shot a hole in the Earth again today. It snowed a few inches overnight but by 2:00 pm the sun was out and we took advantage of it. Carrie learned how not to hold a Colt Anaconda 44 mag revolver and her picture testifies. She will heal just fine. Hopefully Wyatt will too.

It Is Officially Tax Season

Holy cow it's been busy. I have the 240 grain hollow point 44 magnum round just to help me keep things in perspective :)

Hey Wyatt, the Home Teachers are here!

I've tried to keep up with the news this week but tax season is here and I find that by the time I think about turning on the TV to catch an update it's already too late. I mention this because now that we have a new President who is riding high on change for the nation I was hoping to hear him announce that February is National Home Teaching Month. I think that would be a change for the better. How about a tax rebate for every Home Teacher that not only does his Home Teaching and doesn't lie about it, but actually has it done by the 20th of the month. Just last week I was at the Christensen's and snapped this picture when Andrea said "Wyatt, the Home Teachers are here!"

STEELERS WON!!!

Ok, I took this picture before the score was updated on the screen. Who cares, the Steelers win, for the 6th time no less. Luckily Roslyn and Morgan were kind enough to invite us to the party since as a lame family we would have watched the game at home all alone.

Oh What a Feeling!

We are all excited for Ryan and Tiff's new purchase. Since the Escalade makes my Yukon look totally plastic, Kris wisely stood guard over the celebration :)

Road Island Diner

Friends Wyatt and Andrea invited us to share in this 1939 era diner experience in Oakley and it rocked! When I was a little teeny dude my dad used to take me to a diner near Liberty Park. I have no idea how the food compared, because I was happy just to be with my dad, but the food we had tonight was good enough to get me excited to go back there again. Hopefully for a couple of eggs over-easy and a short stack drenched in maple syrup. Sweet!
